How do I describe Distinction Artisan Jewelry? My customers say it’s rustic, organic, masculine, artsy—and yes, beautifully pretty. I’d agree with every word, but I’d also love to hear what you think.
Each piece, including my artisan earrings, is handmade in my home studio, a space that shifts from office by day to jeweler’s workshop by night and weekend. I design handcrafted jewelry that I want to wear—authentic, textured, and full of character—and I’m so grateful that others connect with it too.
Nature and the mountains are my constant muses. You’ll often find their influence in the way I cut bezels to echo a ridgeline or choose stones that capture the raw beauty of earth. Over time, I’ve experimented with countless techniques, but fusing, reticulation, and repoussé have become my favorites. They invite imperfection, asymmetry, and surprise—qualities that give each piece its soul.
I begin with sketches, but the final creation always has its own say, evolving far beyond what’s on paper.
For me, jewelry is more than adornment; it’s a way to anchor a memory, capture a moment, or carry a piece of inspiration forward on life’s journey.
